Fixed and Finished

for blog post

Everyone pretty quickly found my “oops”.  Thank you for your morale booster comments….very much appreciated and motivating.

I came back to it all refreshed the next morning, put my dandy little seam ripper to work and had it fixed in no time.  It wasn’t so bad after all.  It’s amazing what a good nights sleep will do.  And now I can even laugh about it.

It looks nice hanging in our family room.

For me, planning the color arrangement for this quilt was sort of like doing a Sudoku puzzle….trying to have only one of each color basket per row or column.  Also the inside box and outside corners.  I thought long and hard but just couldn’t make it work with the diagonals.

Looks great Annette. Very cheerful colors - well worth the extra bit of time to get everything done "just right". - Marlene

I had to do quite a bit of looking before I figured out what everyone was talking about with your oops. I kept looking back and forth and I felt like I was doing one of those games in a MAD Magazine where you look at two of the same pictures and fine the ten things different. It's simply beautiful. The colors are bright and cheerful and the entire thing just makes me smile. You did a very nice job.

love the colors :) your baskets look great and after you mentioned Sudoku puzzle... I sat here going over each row vertically and horizontally - had you not mentioned it, I would have never thought to. :) I like how you think!

Great Quilt! Love from Texas! ~bonnie

It's lovely and glad that the ripping out part wasn't too painful. All that hard work was worth it.

Love your Picnic! Congratulations on finishing it. I could just not get in the mood to make this pattern in November, it felt too summery for me. I like how your flowers are all the same fabric and how you matched your sashing in the corners. Also great color choices!

This is my first trip to your blog, I'll be back.

I'll be eager to watch your progress on Dear Jane, so far so good, your first blocks are lovely!!

I found your blog through Bingo Bonnie...Is this a Schnibbles quilt? If so, please tell me if they are going to do this again next year and how does one get signed up?
