It’s a quilt top!

054

Ta-da! I’m all finished with the top.

All 8,063 pieces!!

So happy!

After it’s quilted, I’m thinking of making a wavy border edge.  I’m going to have to do some homework on it first however.  Math is involved and math and I are not friends.

Thanks for the encouragement so many of you gave. It really kept me going.

Quilting people are awesome!

Beautiful and so many houses! Like the middle one too and read through all your other house-posts to read the whole story and see more pictures. I can imagine you're proud of yourself!

Wowowowow!!! SOooooo awesome. :) That's one quilt to be in love with, for sure.

Hey - I saw somebody show how they do scallops and waves once. She takes ticker-tape paper, cuts a strip to match the length of the quilt side, then folds it in half, in half, in half, until it's about the size she wants the curves, cuts the curve edge, and then unfolds the paper out along the quilt edge to be able to mark the curves there. No math! Next time I have a scalloped or wavy edge, I think it'd be worth my time to cut some printer paper in thirds and tape a snake together, since I don't happen to have any empty receipt-paper rolls hanging around. . .

I really had no scope for how small the houses really are. This is incredible. What a work of art. You must enter this in some kind of contest.
