I didn’t have much opportunity at the sewing machine this past week but I did manage to squeeze in a little play time with these blocks. I’m using the same fabrics and same block pattern (by Lori Smith) but rearranging the colors so each block is original.
So far I like how it looks.
Your blocks look great, very warm and rich in colour. Looking forward to seeing more.
ReplyDeleteFantastic scrappiness!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I L-O-V-E how they look!

ReplyDeleteLike everyone above, LOVE your blocks! especially the colours you have chosen. I've just checked out Lori's site but can't work out which pattern you have used. There are so many fantastic patterns, I could purchase them all!!!

ReplyDeleteGreat blocks!~I've not seen them made this way/this pattern before. Very lively and will be a gorgeous quilt. How large will you make it, or do you know? Hope you are not so hot where you are...

ReplyDeleteI like how this looks too, great job with the fabric placement!
ReplyDeleteEach block looks so different, but will go together perfectly with all the fabrics being the same! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love those colors!
ReplyDeleteThose blocks are amazing. I love the way you changed the fabrics around. You must be really good at piecing -- those blocks look so difficult to me. Can't wait to see your progress.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. These colors seem like a departure from your usual.
ReplyDeleteThe blocks are beautiful!!! I love the colors in each one and think it will be a great quilt!!
ReplyDeleteIt is remarkable how different fabrics and different values in light and dark will affect a simple pattern so much.
