tears for a sick sewing machine

001

I’m still cranking out blocks for my latest scrap quilt.

I have 34 so far…

Only because of this sweet little Featherweight machine, have I been able to keep going …since my Bernina is very ill.

She started sounding more like a machine gun than a hum…and that can’t be good!!  She had a check up recently and a clean bill of health so it was totally unexpected.

I’m hoping she recovers quickly and can play with me again soon…

but in the meantime… the Featherweight and I are spending time together.

Your blocks are looing fabulous.

I'm saying a quiet prayer for your Bernina. I'm so sorry she's under the weather. Wishing her a very speedy recovery. In the meantime, enjoy your sweet Featherweight.

I love those blocks!
The same thing has happened to me! My Bernina started having problems so I went to my Janome and now it is whining when I sew (although I have cleaned it) and now I'm using my trusty Featherweight! Thank goodness for the good old solid machines of yesterday with all metal gears!

I was reading your blog a few weeks back and saw the picture of the quilt you are making and fell in love with it. I am also making one, though using 2.5 inch squares as I have a tub full of them.. My finished blocks are 14.5 inches and I am only making 49. The way you laid out your blocks makes them look so inviting and fresh. Thanks for sharing your quilting life and best of luck with your Bernina.

Love those bright cheerful blocks! Good luck with your Bernina. You don't often hear about Berninas having problems like that.
