This is my design wall this weekend. They say variety is the spice of life…well I have a lot of variety. 1. I’m always working on my Florabunda applique blocks…(and someday I will actually finish them.) 2. I started making my “Cold Wind Blows” baskets. I decided to shrink the pattern by half and make a little quilt. 3. My bow tie leaders & enders blocks are multiplying quickly. I finish a few with every one of my 4. Jacob’s Ladder quilt blocks.
Speaking of which…
I only have 7 more blocks to go to finish my design. Very scrappy isn’t it? You should see my much lighter scrap bins. I still have some rearranging to do on this quilt and then decide on a border.
Besides a little sewing today, I also helped Mr. Sunshine install new outside light fixtures and made applesauce from our apple tree.
Our house smelled so wonderful!
WOW Annette,I love all your projects, all beautiful and all my taste !
ReplyDeleteI love everything on your design wall. And, your scrappy project is delightful.
ReplyDeleteA lot of beutiful projects. I have my basket blocks too in a box, but you now gave me an idea to reduce the size. Maybe I start all over again :)
ReplyDeleteI'm your house not only smelled wonderful, but looked it too, with all those gorgeous projects about!
ReplyDeleteDarling bow ties. LOVE the scrappiness of Jacob's Ladder.
ReplyDeleteI love what is on your wall and floor!!
ReplyDeleteGreat things happening at your place! I just love your Jacob's Ladder. Definitely a quilt in my future. I ventured over to peek at your DJ blocks (since I've got one going) - you've got a nice collection.
ReplyDeleteAll your projects are wonderful....I loved your beginnings and enders idea.
ReplyDeleteI want to do a Klosje quilt....If you get it all ready and do them as a begin and end it's like your not really doing a quilt. LOL
Wonderful projects......I really like the idea about the leaders and enders...I was thinking about doing a Klosje quilt. That would be a fun way of doing it. It's like not making one at all...LOL
ReplyDeleteI was also wondering are you doing your Dear Jane quilt by hand or machine?
I love your scrappy Jacob's ladder. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love all your projects! Those baskets are too sweet!
ReplyDeleteHad to comment on your bow ties and jacobs ladder blocks. I also have those two as works in progress. Mine are scrappy too.

ReplyDeleteLike all your projects but I love your Jacob's ladder blocks. And they are like a free quilt since they are your scraps.
ReplyDeleteMy eyes were immediately drawn to the Floribunda blocks. You can tell what is my favorite on your design wall.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have lots of fun projects on the go. I love having more than one project too -- sometimes you just need them for different reasons.
ReplyDeleteFantastic projects you have!!
ReplyDeleteLovely!!! Did you save me some apple sauce? :)
ReplyDeleteA scrappy girl after my own heart! I love all your projects, but especially the scrap quilt. I've worked out that it is a 9 patch. What size did you make the components?
