Little Quilt for Autumn

050

My apple core doll quilt is finally finished.  It’s hand pieced and hand quilted, which is a first for me.  I don’t know if I could ever do that on a full sized quilt but I got a kick out of trying it on this little one.

037

It measures 22” x 26” and there are 168 little apple cores… all different.

Amazing, I don't know how you do those curves. I love a scrappy doll quilt. Looks totally antique.

What a charmer! I tried my hand at this pattern in a small scale, and it was the toughest piecing that I've ever done.

I'm in awe of people like you that can hand piece and piece little teeny tiny blocks. I've always wanted to make an apple core, some day I guess. But bigger. Much bigger. Turned out great.

Your quilt is gorgeous! I never tried the apple core after watching a friend try and make it by machine and used to curse it.
