sew red she said now go to bed

002

The reds were already cut for me.  All I had to do was cut some white fabric and I was ready to start sewing.  6 blocks done and 10 left to go.  Not bad for a late evening’s work.

011

Until I lost my senses and did this!

015

Instead of this.

018

This little square is not like the others…

012

I trimmed it before realizing my mistake so it can’t be saved. And it was the only piece of fabric I had like that.  Sheesh!

That’s when you know it’s time to stop and go get ready for bed.

Oh, I love this with the red charms! Use your oopsy block on the back (maybe as a label)

This is a perfect project for the charms. Would you mind if I followed suit? I have the same charms :-)

Don't you love these reds?!? I had peeked at your post yesterday, and thought you had a good thought goin' on, but you put your dreams to reality! It really is looking great...maybe the mistake can go on the back. Thank you for the inspiration ~

Perfect project for the charms, it's wonderful. Use the mistake unit as label. XO

Even though it was a mistake, it is a pretty mistake. But still a sure sign that sleep is needed. I love how they are all looking!

I just ordered some red and white FQs to start on a new quilt -- your star quilt is beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

Just perfect, Annette!

Now I wish I had joined in on the swap because I would have copied you in a heartbeat. I absolutely love it and a two color red and white quilt has been on my 'to do' list forever.

I can't wait to see it finished.

Methinks the 'oopsie' would be perfect for a label.

It's going to be a beautiful quilt! I have been having similar troubles today - my seam ripper and I have become BFFs once again :)

Beautiful! I just found you by following blog links and I was shocked! I was contemplating using that same pattern for my red/white charms. I see one of mine in your photo! lol Have fun!

Hi Annette! Wow! You've already gotten so far on your quilt, and it's beautiful!! My little red squares are still sitting in baggies *blush* I better get busy! I enjoyed seeing how you're putting yours together, can't wait to see the finished quilt!
Cheers,

I did the same swap. I'm making mine into pinwheels. Love your idea.

Oh I like yours better. But I have already cut all mine into 2 1/2 inch squares.
I need to take pictures and do a post.

It looks Great!!! The block on the lower left corner of the picture, the fabric on the lower right corner is my fabric! I love your quilt! I haven't even picked a design yet. Have fun!

looks fabulous! i jumped over from your email to all the swappers! My contribution was the birds (first pic) so if you mess one of those up, let me know---I have about 6 to spare! Maybe we should ask Karen to host a flickr group so we can see what everyone else is doing!

I can't believe how quickly you've got these together. The blocks are fabulous and really showcase the reds beautifully

Your quilt is lovely (as are you other quilts too). My swap fabrics are back in their baggies waiting for inspiration - and I enjoy looking at them. I was excited to see one of my fabrics in your pile. Keep up the good work.
