A First

020

168 little apple cores all stitched together.  No two alike.  It’s going to make a cute little doll quilt… about 24” x 28”.

013

It’s even kind of fun looking at them from the reverse side.

But I’ll never see that again..

006

…because I’m getting it ready for the quilting part.

I am going to hand quilt it.  Then because it was hand pieced, I will also hand stitch the binding on so I can say that it was 100% hand made.  That is a first for me.

Worth every single hand stitch. I didn't realize how small the apple cores are but 168 in such a small quilt! I'm very impressed and it lays so flat.

This turned out really beautiful. I think it's wonderful you're making an entire "hand" piece. I need to do that some day!

now I hand piece and I hand quilt--but I think most of the time I do sew the first row of binding on my machine---soooo--but then I always feel funny saying I did every thing by hand????
so good for you---

Wow, it's beautiful Annette! Look at all those teeny tiny stitches. Good for you for keeping it all hand made.
