That was close!

005

I nearly lost the top of my little pinkie today!  While zipping through the fabric with my rotary cutter, I suddenly realized I’d made a careless mistake.  But whew!…it just got the nail and the tiniest sliver of finger….no blood…no pain…and one very lucky me!

There are safer ways to trim ones nails so I will slow down and be more careful now.

A lesson to be learned for all of us reading this.

Whew, Annette! That little quilting angel sitting on your shoulder was definitely looking out for you.

That was a close call and could have been a lot worse. Count your blessings it was not worse.

Ouch! I'm glad it wasn't more severe. I did that to my finger a few years back. Mine was a little worse which resulted in a trip to the emergency room. They gave me a block on both sides of the finger and cut the remainder of the skin off. I've seen it happen to other people, but never thought I'd do it myself. I purchased a guard for my rulers and hopefully it will never happen again.

Oh, Annette, I'm glad you did not hurt your finger badly! I've did it once and still today the finger mail grows a bit odd at that place, isn't that strange?
