Scrap Bag

new bagI was sorting through the scrap bins when these two fabrics landed beside each other on the table.  When I noticed them, they struck me as ideal for that new bag I’ve been needing.  I found a third scrap to match and all together there was just barely enough to do it.  So this became my weekend project - made entirely from the scrap bin.  Woohoo!

Mr. Sunshine and I also planned to get some outdoor projects done but the weather wouldn’t cooperate.  This past week we’ve had lots of rain, wind and chilly cold.  So weird for June.  Instead, we spent the time playing indoors with our granddaughters.  Which is way more fun than yard work.

So glad you had fun with your grandchildren.
LOVE your bag! Aren't those the best things when they just "happen"!?!?? Kinda like my quilt I'm doing now. I'm just DOING IT!~not thinking about it too much. I think I can overcomplicate things sometimes.

  17. I dropped by to say an Aussie hello from Spring Fever Bingo!! Then to find you are a fellow DJ'er!!

I've finished all my DJ squares and have 40 triangles to make - but I'm stuck there, as I committed myself to other things, including being involved with our local patchwork group to make a quilt for our towns centenary. If you're interested you can see it on my blog.

I love how you keep your scraps!! I think every scrap is useful as well. Just over a year ago, DJ'er friends sent surprise envelopes in the mail with scraps, towards a Baltimore quilt I want make....one day!!!

Loved all your quilts and other creative endeavours.

    Regards,
