Pretty Stuff

blessing dress

I learned to sew when I was young and grew up making my own clothes most of the time.   Then I made my children’s clothes through their growing up years.  I still sew a lot but not clothes very much anymore.  However, this week I made a little blessing dress for our granddaughter’s special day.

It was nice to be using 5/8” seams instead of 1/4” for a change.

I’ve also been playing around with beads, making fobs for some of my scissors.  Sewing is enjoyable… and now even more so.

Love the little scissor fobs! Were those kits, or just something you put together yourself?

What a sweet little dress and your gd looks adorable in it. So sweet.
Great fobs. I was wondering what you call the piece with the string? I have a scissor fob that someone made me but the same thing you used on your fobs before the string thing is not big enough for the handle of the scissors so I thought I might get the little string and attach it.
Hope I am making sense.

What a gorgeous blessing dress, Annette. It looks so feminine and tender.

Love your scissor fobs. I'm a firm believer that all scissors need some jewelry to dress themselves in.
