Mini Quilts

I have seen walls with miniature quilt collections on them and always wanted to do one some day. Well today was the day. I dug out all the miniature quilts I had made and arranged them on my sewing room wall...around a wallhanging that was already there. And I am happy with it.
It makes me want to start a new one. I love miniature quilts. You can test different patterns with less fabric and less time (sometimes). They can be a little tedious, like the black, red and white Monkey Wrench quilt. I unpicked that sooooo many times because I had things backwards, upside down or whatever. But it was worth it because I now enjoy it. It is 15" x 18" and the smallest quit, the pink, yellow and green Hole in the Barn Door is 8" x 9".

Your art display is beautiful. I have several small quilts hanging in a group similiar. Your baskets from the previous post is cute too. I have made several of them. You are right, you can't just make one.

Minature quilts... something I haven't seen or read about in the last couple of years, I just love them, your wall display looks terrific, minatures always look really good when they are displayed together... you have inspired me to get into my cupboard and dig out a couple that I made years ago.. probably not finished knowing me.

I love your miniature quilts. You displayed them very nicely! I agree that sometimes smaller quilts can actually be harder. You must be more precise, especially if you are doing points.

I love your minature quilt display. I've started making some as well and hanging them on a clothes line around my sewing room. Though, each time I see a gorgeous wall like yours I start changing my mind.

Love, love your wall of quilts. I'm in a Jo's Little Women group at my LQS and I'm determined to do the same thing with the small scale quilts we make there.

great display. In my old house, I had a disply of small quilts going up the stairway. Here, I haven't done a display but you are inspiring. Maybe I'll have to pull some of mine out and see what I can do. The book, Little Quilts All Around the House by Berg, Von Holt, and Johnson has some clever ideas for displaying little quilts

Cute, cute, cute. I love minis too and for the same reasons. I even use those fancy pins for hanging mine like you do. :)
